Intellectual property of the software

The user is responsible for complying with current laws and regulations, as well as rules related to the operation of online services, e-commerce, copyright, public order maintenance, and universal principles of Internet use.
The user shall indemnify PENGUIN BOOKS, S.A. for the expenses incurred due to any legal action in which PENGUIN BOOKS, S.A. is implicated, including attorney's fees and legal defense costs, even in the case of a non-final court decision.
Protection of hosted information
PENGUIN BOOKS, S.A. performs backups of the content hosted on its servers; however, it is not responsible for the loss or accidental deletion of data by users. Likewise, it does not guarantee the complete restoration of data deleted by users since such data may have been deleted and/or modified during the time period since the last backup.
The services offered, except for specific backup services, do not include the restoration of content from backups made by PENGUIN BOOKS, S.A. when such loss is attributable to the user. In this case, a fee will be determined based on the complexity and volume of the recovery, always subject to the user's acceptance.
The restoration of deleted data is only included in the service price when the loss of content is due to causes attributable to PENGUIN BOOKS, S.A.
Commercial communications
In compliance with the LSSI, PENGUIN BOOKS, S.A. will not send advertising or promotional communications via email or any other equivalent electronic means unless they have been previously requested or expressly authorized by the recipients.
In the case of users with whom there is a pre-existing contractual relationship, PENGUIN BOOKS, S.A. is authorized to send commercial communications regarding products or services of PENGUIN BOOKS, S.A. that are similar to those initially contracted with the customer.
In any case, the user, after verifying their identity, may request that no further commercial information be sent to them through the Customer Support channels.
